Croyde ROC Post, Devon - June 2009

Post  TQexplorer on Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:47 am

Part of the national chain of Royal Observer Corps posts around Britain, originally intended to watch for enemy aircraft, the service was adapted during the cold war to be early warning for nuclear blasts and measure blast intensity etc.

Abandonded in the early 1990’s, Croyde ROC post was in relatively good condition during this visit in Summer 2009.
